sweetjewel answered Wednesday June 21 2006, 12:21 pm: try holding down the menu button and the middle button at the same time. this resets the ipod (dont woory it doesnt delete songs or anything). if that doesnt work try charging it. if it still isnt doing anything then the battery is probably dead and needs to be replaced [ sweetjewel's advice column | Ask sweetjewel A Question ]

..if it doesn't work in about a week I'd take it back if you still have the warrenty.
