I want to go swimming tomorrow and im on my period im scared to use a tampon waht are like little facts and stuff about them. a website would help thanxs a ton

Maybe give some free advice about: Menstrual/Period Issues? confidentyetselfconsious answered Thursday June 15 2006, 3:02 am: hey listen well im 14 and ive had my period for about half a year well since october haha im stupid! anyways, i always said helll no im never going to use one.....even when my girlfriends(best friends) said they use them i always said no...but then pads got too uncomfortable and everything plus i wanted to wear thngs so i bought liners like and idiot and ofcourse i leaked....so tthen i started using tampons and there so comfortable...dont even feel them...well ofcourse you gotta get someone to show you how to put them in....ask a girlfriend who uses them or something but thats only IF you want to use tampons...yea theres a disease TSS toxic shock syndrome......causes of that are forgetting you have a tampon on and sticking another one up there or leaving it in tooo long i mean maximun 8 hours but if u leave it longer DONT WORRY abut the disease i mean worry about leaking through that one.....when i go in the pool my flow stopssssss....also when i go in the shower and bath....weird but good i guess...anyways i'd say go with the tampon dont worry about the disease just be clean and careful with the way you put it on and how long you put it in for....ok?? well i hope i helped you....god bless you much love [ confidentyetselfconsious's advice column | Ask confidentyetselfconsious A Question ]
