Honestly, it's much more of a mental thing. Like once you start the hunger just doesn't matter. It's kind of hard to explain.

There's this lifetime movie about this girl named Nancy. We had to watch it in our foods one class. I totally recommend you watching it. It's called Saving Nancy and Tracee Gold plays the main character. (Tracee Gold is Carol Seaver from... ugh, now I can't think of the name, but you know her "siblings" Ben and Mike... )

Anyway, it's actually easy to go that long without being hungry. Your body gets used to it. Eventually things get bad and you lose so much weight that you could die. Luckily for me I got help before that point. But it's hard to start eating again. You literally feel like you're choking on your food each time and it's physically hard to swallow. It's mainly due to the mental anxiety though. Eventually anorexia stops becoming a physical disease and starts becoming a mental one. No matter how thin you are each time you look into a mirror, you're obese. Eventually you have to learn to trust the people around you and not the mirror. It's hard, but it helps.

But that movie is amazing the way it portrays an anorexic person. The actress who plays Nancy, Tracee Gold, she was anorexic in real life. Anorexia is a very serious, very tough thing to go through. But if you watch that movie it may become a lot more clear.
