eye surgery

Question Posted Tuesday June 6 2006, 5:30 pm

i'm getting eye surgery to make my eyes bigger because i think they'd look more pretty that way. umm people tell me after i do the surgery, for 2 weeks my eyes are going to be all puffy and stuff and it will look bad and it will take around 2 weeks to heal - is that true? umm and how old do i have to be to get the surgery done? and like are there any cons of getting the eye surgery? or any side effects? thanks.

If this is a cosmetic procedure, personally--I'd use cosmetics instead of opting for surgery. Aside from a possible fatal reaction to the anesthesia, the major risks are, nerve damage, blindness and infection. Then there is the possiblity of a thickened scar, drooping due to tissue that is manipulated and stretched..and actually looking worse than before the surgery. One eye can look different from the other too.

whenever you go through surgery.. it will reaction with being puffy/swollen. it will take time for the swelling to go down but i'm not sure how long for that. ask a doctor. i think you have to be 18 but maybe with a parents permission, you can do it earlier?
