i need advice

my boyfriend and i have been together for 17 months...when he fingered me i started to bleed, and thats never happened before. when we noticed obviously we stopped. i checked it and i seemed like he tore something. But then my vagina itself is bleeding...what is going on?

If you've been fingered before without a problem, then there are a few possibilities that could be going on now.

First, your boyfriend's fingernails could have scratched or torn some of the delicate tissue in the vagina.

Second, you could have started your period. Was it due around the time he fingered you?

If your vagina is bleeding heavily or continues to bleed (and it's not your period), you'll want to see a doctor just to check-out that nothing significant is going on.
