One time orgasim for a lady?

Question Posted Saturday June 3 2006, 6:43 pm

Hello. Well, I'm a 19 year old female and a virgin. Whenever I masturbate and orgasim with clitorial stimulation I just feel like stopping immediately. You know how when I guy climaxes and just wants stop, I feel like that. I've tried to get aroused again but it just doesn't happen. I'm worried that when I finally do have sex with a guy that I'll climax before he does and won't still be into it. Any help would be great!

It's normal to want to stop touching your clitoris after orgasm. Orgasm, after all, is the release of all that pent up excitement - and once it's gone, many females feel satisfied and do not need to continue. In addition, the clitoris can become quite sensitive, making masturbation uncomfortable.

Chances are things will be fine when you are having sex. Sexual intercourse will not provide the sort of clitoral stimulation you are used to - it will probably take longer to reach orgasm, and even if you do climax first penetrative sex shouldn't be uncomfortable for a few extra minutes as the focus is not intensely on your clitoris. In addition, sex isn't just about you (like masturbation is). You may want to go on because you feel excited from pleasing your partner.

In addition, many men do climax before the woman does - though of course this depends on who you're with! It's impossible to predict how you might sexually feel with someone, as sex with each person is likely to be quite different. All you can do is see what happens, and then make necessary adjustments.

It does sound as though you're normal and healthy; chances are you've got nothing to worry about.
