Im 17 and in English 3 prep this year. Next year ill be turning 18 and i will only have the special ed when i need it. When you turn 18 you should have the same desicion. You can talk to your teacher about it. They are usually very understanding about stuff like this. If they are not talk to your guidance counselor. If you think you are ready to move up in english then they should take your word for it but they will let you know that you can see them for help whenever you may need it.

If none of that information helps im sorry.

I think that you should ask your special ed teacher if you could possibly take a placement test to see if you are qualified for a regular English class. If you qualify, than tell your mom that you are clearly ready for regular English, and you need the challenge to get the most out of school. Good luck!

I would try going to the principle or the regular English teacher so she can give you work to prove you can do the class. Sorry I don't know what else to do I'm sorry! Good Luck!!!
