from personal experience, I've learned that when I give excuses and the guy really likes you that he will spend all his time finding away to get around the excuse. giving an excuse is like giving false hope for a future relationship so just keep it simple and truthful, you dont have to go into detail like "you have bad breath and B.O" because it isnt nesscessary to hurt his feelings, but you could say " I'm really sorry but my feelings toward you changed and I dont think we should see eachother anymore. We're much better as friends"
And of course hes going to try to talk you out of it, but at that point you just have to ignore it because guys have a way of making you feel guilty sometimes. So just keep your head up high. He'll get over it and dont be surprised if he doesnt talk to you or bothers you alot.

You should go to him and say "I'm sorry, but I think we need to see other people". Keep it as simple as that. An excuse can only hurt you. [ sbloemeke's advice column | Ask sbloemeke A Question ]
