Let's say someone uploaded four Queen songs for the use of the public. If they make it absolutely clear that they are not the artist or in no way affiliated with them... and.. if they disabled the 'Download From This Site' feature, would that be illegal to upkeep?
I searched the 'Terms of Service', and I am not seeing my answer. I just want to varify that nothing illegal is happening on that MySpace Music site!!
Additional info, added Friday May 26 2006, 12:13 am: Well okay.. the site says this:
"Warning - MySpace Music accounts are for MUSICIANS. Uploading songs you do not own is a violation of the artist's copyrights and against the law. If you upload songs you do not own, you account will be deleted.
If you would like to show support for a musical group or artist, create a fan club in our GROUP section"
So.. how do we get there music? Is the simple fact that if the artist does not have a MySpace Music site mean that.. they don't want you to have it at all and we need to respect that?
