SUN BURN

Question Posted Wednesday May 24 2006, 8:54 pm

i have the worst sun burn ive ever had before. its on my back..ive had bad sunburns before where they have the deep itch..this one looks so much worse than those ever did. i saw it in the mirror earlier and cried a little because i know how bad its going to hurt and how miserable im going to be. i cant handle it physically or emotionally. i just cant deal with sunburns, id honestly rather just die. its that bad for me. please tell me something..ANYTHING..i could do to make it feel a little better, or something to take my mind off of it. just anything..

im allergic to aloe. whenever it touches my sunburn..the pain flares or soemthing horrible and it itches so bad on every inch of the burn for hours like someones poking me with little needles..not that it doesnt already do that..but its just a lot worse with aloe..

when i used to get bad sunburns i'd use this blue gel stuff in a bottle called Ocean.. something. it doesn't use aloe, but a local anesthesia instead, so it just numbs the area you cover with it. works wonders, and feels cool when you put it on. i'm sure you can find it anywhere.

hopefully you'll try to exercise prevention in the future!! and good luck :)

There are a couple things you can do:
1) Dab the area with apple cider vinager
2) Sock in a lukewarm bath with about 2 cups unflavored oatmeal (soothing to skin)
3) Buy a cooling gell at any drugstore with lidocane (located witht he sun care products)
4)After all this, just wait it out, once it starts to peel then you should feel a little better.

Please use a strong sunscreen next time!

Everytime i go to the beach i get so sunburnt && i have it everywhere . Put aloe on your back at the stores it should be green Or just read the bottles. When you go to bed dont wear a bra && wear a lose shirt. So that it wont aggravate your back as much. Next time you go in the sun wear alot of sunblock like 75 spf. Becuase you dont want to get sun poisoning and even the thought of sun poisoning is scary.
