How do I let people know I am able to babysit? No one has ever asked me yet I get mostly straight A's, and have done a 4-day 4 hours a day babysitting course.

FernGully answered Wednesday May 17 2006, 2:16 pm: You can tell your parents to tell friends that they know who have young children that you are available to babysit. I don't recommend putting up flyers or anything, as that really isn't a safe idea for you. It's best to babysit for families that you are already familiar with, or that your parents know. Have your parents, or even friend's parents see who needs a sitter. Chances are, someone is in need of a babysitter. If you still don't find anything, try letting your school know that you're looking to babysit and perhaps they can let some of the school's families know (such as on parent's night or PTA meetings).
