confused about him
my boyfriend and i have been going out for almost a year. we're both 15. recently he's told me that he likes other girls, but would never cheat. he says he only likes them based on looks and anytime he sees them, he always compares them to me in the back of his mind and they always lose. but when i found out about this, i was upset. i feel uncomfortable that he likes other girls besides for me. is that selfish? he loves me and i love him but i don't want other girls to be on his mind. it hurts...should i try to be ok with him liking other girls or should i break up with him? i mean, people can't help who they like, right?

If you truly know that he won't cheat then its not a big problem but its a little inconsiderate. My boyfriend wouldn't dare to even look at a girl while we were out together and he would never ever in his right mind tell me if he thought a girl was attractive. I don't know if he's seen other girls that he was attracted to, I'm sure he has and I've seen guys that I thought were attractive too...its going to happen. Just tell your boyfriend that you don't appreciate hearing about the other girls even if he does like you better. Nobody wants to hear 'I love you but she's hot'

It isn't selfish of you. I never actually heard of a guy telling his girlfriend about it but, you are both 15, of course he's going to check out other girls. Just like any girl would check out a guy. I wouldn't get upset about it if I was you..it's going to happen with any guy no matter how nice or sweet they are. Just try and learn to be okay with it! Remember: he said the other girls always lose compared to you. If you love eachother, trust him not to cheat on you or flirt with any other girls.

most guys do look at other girls at this age...if they find their girlfriend better and are happy with them, they're most likely not going to tell them. it actually seems like he trusts you enough to tell this to you. as long as he doesn't cheat or flirt or do anything ridiculous to the point where you feel he's treating you badly, i wouldn't break up with him.
