next month, i have a dance rehersal, and i have stage fright. last week we had a rehersal, and i was nervous even with just people from my dance studio, and most of them were even younger than me. how am i gunna perform in front of a ton of people when im nervous just doing that?? any ideas?

xoMarisox answered Saturday May 13 2006, 7:28 pm: When I have my dance recitals, I can hardly see the audience because of the lights. And that helps for me. But remember this, you aren't the only one on stage (unless you are doing a solo) So, you aren't teh only person being watched. Just live the moment cause then it's over. :( (I usually get upset) SO just enjoy it, I promise you, you will be fine. Just relax. Take a few deep breathes before going on and stretch really well. molly008 answered Saturday May 13 2006, 6:34 pm: okay well i used to have stage fright to but in my theater class we did a lot of things where we had to perform infront of eachother. i was just like you, i was afraid to even go infront of a few people. but by the end of the semester i was over my stage frights so what i suggest you do is perform (sing/act/dance) infront of people constantly, it could be infront of friends, family, or people in your dance class. trust me after a little while you will be rid of your stage fright, hope i helped! love ya [ molly008's advice column | Ask molly008 A Question ]
