best friend is a dud
well. my best friend and i were really close last year and thats when i met her.. but near the middle of this year she changed. she made a new friend with a girl whos all gothy and evrything and i barely ever get to talk to her anymore.. i dont know what to do without my best friend :( what should i do?

I suppose the gothy friend seems more "cool" to hang out with. Thats just a guess.
Have a serious talk with your friend. Find out what she is thinking and ask her why she is deserting you for this other friend.
If she doesn't listen to you now (but lets hope she does), sooner or later she we miss you. :)
