I'd definetley get a Fender or a Gibson. I have a Fender Squier...and I love it. Go to the shop and ask the employees about guitars, that's what the people that work there are there for. lol.

Depends on what guitar you're thinking about getting. For an acoustic I suggest either a Martin or a Yamaha. I have a Yamaha. It was only 200 bucks. It's a dam good guitar for only spending that much. I also have an Ovation. If you decide to get an Ovation I suggest getting an American made one and not a Celebrity. Only for the simple fact that there really not that good. They don't last that long. If you plan on going electric, a pretty cheap one that's really good is an Austin. I have a couple in fact. They work well. Especially since I'm pretty small for my age.

Try a Les Paul. I have a Les Paul and a Fender, and I think the Les Paul gets a great sound. Les Paul comes in many different styles so they have alot of different sounds. Definitely try seeing about a Les Paul. Either that, or I'd go with Fender.
