okay you know how in proactive there are like 3 bottles, one for the face wash, one for the toner and one for the lotion..
okay well the problem is that i dont have enough money to buy proactive so could someone give me either a good face wash, a good toner, or a good lotion for ACNE ..it would be plenty of helpful and ill rate 5's for anyone that trys
oh and also for each product i dont want it to be too pricey, like under $10 for each bottle
Like I said, I've tried everything, and these are the things that worked best for me.
Face wash- You should use something really light for your face. When you use organic/natural products it only strips the bad oils from your face, leaving the natural oils that cleanse your skin, which is really good. I would use burt's bees cleanser or deep pore scrub. Each are really good. Clean&Clear products are good, and don't seem to break my skin out.
Toner- I've never really used toner before. But you don't HAVE to use a toner. Only if you have really really oily skin. I wouldn't use a toner every day either. Sometimes the alcohol in it really irritates your face. If I were you, I would try a toner from Clean&Clear or neutrogena and see how it works. I don't know for sure whether it'll be good on your skin or not. Also don't put on a toner in the morning before you go out, or before you put on your makeup. It makes your acne really red, because it brings out your pores. Also a tip; Before you buy a toner, make sure you open it up and smell it. It it smells really strong like the smell of alcohol ( like nail polish remover), that will be way to strong for your face) Buy one that has a lighter smell. That way you can sense the ammount of alcohol.
Moisterizer-The best moisterizer I've used is Clean&clear Dual Action moisturizer. It's for acne and it has salicylic acid in it, which is good for your acne. This is good to put on before bed and/or in the morning. It makes your skin feel really clean and fresh, without making it feel all oily. Another really good moisterizer is from the brand Alba; aloe&green tea oil-free moisterizer. It's organic/natural. You can find it at whole foods or wild oats.
I hope I helped!

These are all cheap and work.. but not to cheap to make your face burn. Use this for about a week twice a day (once in the morning and once at night) and remember to wash all eye make up or any eye make up off before bed time. that is one of the most leading problems that causes white heads. Just pleaaase trust me on this, I had the same problem as well. [ xforgotten0585's advice column | Ask xforgotten0585 A Question ]

herbivore answered Tuesday May 2 2006, 7:50 pm: hey. the best stuff that i have used is clearsil daily face wash. it works great and it doesnt cost too much, you can get it at any local drug store. it is usually between 3-7 dollars, depends on what product you use. if you have acne, you want to make sure that you dont wash it too much because it will dry your skin out and make it worse. and be sure that you be patient for results. hope this helps!! :) ♥ ♥ ♥ [ herbivore's advice column | Ask herbivore A Question ]
