Family_Guy answered Monday May 1 2006, 3:43 pm: Well, when you downgrade an application, sometimes it will automatically force you to use the latest version. I haven't ever heard of/used dead aim, but after reading the FAQ, you may need to actually uninstall AIM, find the folder that it uses in your program files directory and delete that also. It may even store a registry key, but that's beyond the area that your average user should mess with. Just uninstall aim, delete the file it uses and try again.
