ok lately I've noticed that I been eating only when I feel bored and not when I'm really hungry. I'm really scared because I've also gained weight, not alot only 2-3 lbs( im not fat),and I just want to know how can I stop this habit before it gets out of control and I turn overweight or something?

Make sure you eat 3 meals a day, so you won't be starving and pig out later. Also, I don't know what gender or age you are but if your a girl, it's normal to gain weight during puberty. Lots of people pig out on junk food without realizing the harm they're doing to themselves. It's good that you've noticed this habit and that you're trying to change it. I congratulate you.
Anyway, whenever you feel bored to the point of eating, grab a bottle of water. Grab some celery, grapes, an apple, etc., just not junk food. This will add water, fiber, and nutrients to your diet that you wouldn't get if you were snacking on junk food.

The issue is exactly what you've said, boredom. This can be easily fixed, you just need to find something to do with your time. Try picking up a hobby instead of doing things that aren't interactive, such as watching the tele or listening to music.
If you find that you still have the need to eat and you fear calories, pick something lowfat or do what I do and keep light popcorn handy, they work like chips but don't cost your body half as much.
I recommend the first option though as this impulsive eating could be leading to a bigger issue which might be the fact that you spend too much time immobile.
If you find yourself binging when you're upset or depressed, seek medical help, as these might be signs of an eating disorder. [ Imperialistic's advice column | Ask Imperialistic A Question ]
