hi people. for lit we have a project where we pick a poet and have to like tell the class about their life. however in first person. im doing langston hughes, and im a 14f. Does anyone have any clever ideas to do this? we arent allowed to like write a bio like..i was born in 1920 or whatever. we also need to incorperate their poems in with the bio. for example, someone is painting a portrait of themselves and talking about it.
anyone who understands what im talking about please help me!!

You could do a number of things.
Think of some situations that you could act in as your character. Also, think of what age you will be portraying him at.
A teenager? An adult? An old man?
Maybe he is reading his newly written poem to the class or speaking at a "conference."
The possibilities are endless.
It's just like playing pretend or doing one of those dumb skits for health class. Don't be afraid to be creative! Teachers like that. ;-) [ Knoll's advice column | Ask Knoll A Question ]
