My sister hopes to get married in august and i've been nominated as master of ceremonies. I have accepted. However, i've never been an mc before so i want to be good and not be an embarrasment that night. Can someone help me on this. What does a master of ceremonies all do? what are some good ways to keep the audience entertained? Any help in aiding me to prepare myself for this will be much appreciated. THX

There is a lot to do and you will need to be well organised.
It sounds as though you are very well thought of to be asked to undetake this.
The last website has a personal e mail address if you would like to ask any other questions from a professional toastmaster.
Best of luck, I'm sure you will be brilliant.

Set up a schedule...for instance
6pm - introduction of the wedding party
630pm - dinner - say a short prayer
7pm - announce they are cutting the cake so people can watch
there'll be music playing? and you'll help with the flow of events so that they get everything in that they want to.
keep the announcements, short/sweet and appropriate - and everything you say should reflect happiness at celebrating their day together etc. Hope it goes well for you! [ girlygirl's advice column | Ask girlygirl A Question ]
