okay so there is this mentally retarded girl i know. im friends with her sister so now she talks to me. because her and her sister are really close. well, she always ims me with all this crap like 59342579034 ims in a second. and i get so annoyed and never know what to say. i just want her to leave me alone but i dont wanna be mean! please helppp.

just block her. i know it sounds harsh but, it's YOUR IM address, and you have the right to use it as you please.
if you don't have the heart to do that...
either just don't answer
or tell her you're a bit busy right now and will talk later
there's no reason to not be friendly, a hello now and then is harmless, but if you don't want to constantly focussing all your attention on her, then don't!

Well keep yourself invisible when she signs on, so she can't IM you, or just block her if the IMing gets really bad. I remember I used to have a kid like that who would basically call 10 times a day and IM me constantly, so I just blocked her. Then, she got a new screename and found out I blocked her, bad idea I guess. So I think you should make yourself invisible when she signs on to AIM (to do that, click on the little eye on the top of the buddy list). When she calls (I don't know if she does but in case she ever does), tell her you're about to take a shower, or you have homework to do. I know you probably don't want to hurt her feelings, so DON'T actually tell her that you're fed up with her, that'll turn bad.
