Sweeney Todd

Question Posted Saturday April 22 2006, 6:50 pm

Has anyone here seen Sweeney Todd?

If you have, do you think that Sweeney thought of Mrs. Lovett as a friend, or do you think that he was just taking advantage of her fondness for him and using her solely as an accomplice? I suppose it's debatable.

Well, dearie,
Sweeney Todd is a pretty true story. In real life, Sweeney and Mrs. Lovett were more than just friends, but I do not think that he really loved her. She was old and despereate, he was rich and exciting.

In the show, Sweeney has no problem killing Mrs. Lovett so I don't think that they were true friends.

All in all he was using her.

Hope that I helped, sweetie
