My friend has an Ipod shuffle and it is just as good. You can listen to it in alphabetical order, or bande order, I forget but there is an organized way and a shuffle way so it randomly plays songs.

You can only put songs on any Ipod through Itunes. You can put songs from other programs on to Itunes and then put it on your Ipod, but thats a whole other story.

Your new shuffle should come with directions on how to use.

You do not have to pay for all of the songs you put on your Ipod. You can put all songs from a CD into your itunes or download songs but that is illegal so I dont know if you would want to do that.

Hope I helped =)

No the iPod shuffles arent as good. They play the songs in random order so you never know what you get. IF you are gettin a shiffle because its cheeper you could just get a mp3 player. There just as cheap and have screens so you can choose your songs. (just a suggestion) But anyway you dont have to get the songs from itunes you can get them from cd's opr illeagally but you have to have itunes to get the songs on there if you know what i mean. It will have a booklet telling you how to set everything up but not how to download the songs. IF you download them form itunes they are only 0.99 cents.

iPod Shuffles aren't as good as the other iPods because the songs play in a random order. You can't see what song you're listening to, and you won't know which one is coming next. If you really want to listen to a song, you have to look and look and look until you find it. Whenever putting a song on any iPod you can put the songs on iTunes, or you can take the files of songs from other music programs and put them on iTunes. All iPods come with little booklets that tell you everything you need to know about them. You only pay to buy songs that you want to download, and they're $.99. But if you have songs on CDs that you want to put on, then you don't have to pay for those.

O.M.G! Im An iPod Expert! No You Dont Have To Pay For All The Songs Unless If You Download Them But You Can Also Put Songs From Cd's On There. The Bad Thing About The Shuffle Is You Can Choose The Song You Want To Listen To. Say You Want To Listen To #64 And Your On #12, You Have To Flip Though All Those Songs. If I Were You I Would Go For The 2 GB Nano For The Screen And PLUS You Can Play Games And Hold PIctures On The Nano. Thats What I Have. But Yes There Is A Bokklet That Come With It. And No You Dont Have To Use iTunes, You Can Use Livewire Or Something Like That. I Hope This Helps!

okay, first, something about ipod shuffles also RANDOMLY cycle through your music, so you can't listen to what you want, when you want to. you just get lucky lol. but anyways, itunes is not the only way to get music on to there; you can use windows media player, realplayer, or if you are comfortable with a computer and know where your music is saved, you can just copy and paste into your ipod. as to your question with paying for music, you only have to pay for what you buy off of itunes. as long as you have music saved on your computer (by copying it off of cds or something which you can do with either of the above-mentioned media players. with windows media, just put the disc in and go to the tab "rip". and with realplayer, it's pretty much the same.) so, you only pay for what you BUY off of itunes. but, if I were you, I would buy a mp3 player that is just as good, but one with a display, because I don't like randomly cycling through music. oh, and, yes, you probably WILL get a booklet explaining how to do this through itunes. good luck!
