depo shot question

Question Posted Wednesday April 19 2006, 10:47 pm

does your vagina need to clean itself out while on depo. someone told me is has to but i was told that it thins the lining and you don't release an egg, therefore there is nothing to clean out of there. which is true. i was told that i should stop taking it so it can clean itself out. i already know about not being on it too long because of bone density loss, but what is the deal with how does it clean itself out?

I've not heard that story.

Your best bet would be to call and ask your doctor or his nurse. I'm sure if something like that needs to be done they will or would have let you know about it. When you go to get your next shot, just ask the nurse. :)
