i guess this goes in here.. but what are some good places to take like not exactly modeling but good pictures at?

You can always have a fake background like a big picture, make it or Photoshop it in too. You can take good pictures anywhere with a good camera and lots of inspiration/props!

Outside. Outside there is good lighting and a nice scene, like by trees and bodies of rivers, or (if you are a model..?), you could get professional pictures, they have different backrounds you can chose from!
