okay i am 15 and i smoke. mainly cigarettes but every now and then some pot. i dont really even remember how i started to smoke. the weed doesnt bother me because it isnt a daily thing but the cigarettes are killing me. it is so hard to keep it a secret from my mother and most of my friends since they hate smokers. i want to stop but i just cant. i have tried. i would love some advice on how to quit but by myself. i dont want anyones help. i have thought about the gum and/or patches but then my mom would find out and plus those are expensive... some tips on how to at least cut back would be greatly appreciated....

ya dude run when you geta craving or like exercise because it like makes you not wanna smoke a cigg. anymore or just eat alot lol but you probelly dont want to do that oh but dont use the nicotine gum crap it taste like shit like something really gross in ur throat and it burns

welcome aboard. I am in the same boat as you. Hoever, in my case everyone knows. What will get you motivated? Try running one mile every morning. Go to a public pool and swim for a bit. The chlorine in the air will make a cigarette afterwards taste so bad. Drink lots of water. And eat lots. Not big meals. Just healthy munchies.if you have one smoke of and on, pls dont feel bad. I mean its not easy quitting. What also works and this requires will power, is put a full pack in your pocket and carry it around with you but DON'T TOUCH IT. I hope I helped you a bit. I know its not a whole lot but I wish you the best okay>

I think it's really great that you want to quit smoking. It really is a bad habit that can only cause you problems. A good tip would be to try and find some other hobbies that would keep you busy and your mind off of smoking. There is a lot of information on the web and free resources, just google quitting smoking or Free quitting smoking help. I have learned that the generic patches and gum sold at Walmart have the same ingredients as Nicorette or the name brand patchh, but it is way cheaper. Maybe you could give those a try. Don't get discouraged! As a last resort, maybe could could ask your friends for help. If they are your friends and they hate smoking, they should be willing to support you in your decision to be smoke-free. You mom might actually be proud that you have realized that smoking is bad and help you try and quit. I understand that I don't know her, but I would think that she would rather know and help you than to have you continue smoking.

that is the best that you can do if you dont want your mom to find out you smoke. dont look/smoke a ciggarett. chew a lo of gum and forget about. try to find another habbit. maybe bitting your nails. i hope i helped a little.
