lil things make me soooooooooooooo mad or nervous... please
Question Posted Sunday April 9 2006, 8:27 pm
tell me what you think:
when i am in the car with my dad in the morning and he's driving me and my cousin to work.. like we have the music on. Now he likes rap music like i do.. so we listen to WAMO or 96.1 and like he taps his fingers on the sterrin wheel ALL THE TIME and it ANNOYS ME!!
like i can't even look at him doing it because it like makes me feel like i'm about to have a type of attack or sumthing and i can't hear it.. god forbid if i hear him tapping because it really gets to me
so i look out the window all the time opposite from him and i don't look straight ahead.. and i have my iPod full blast and then i have to position my eyes when looking out the window so i don't see his reflection of his fingers moving in the window..
and then!
there's this boy i talk to and like he chews gum and how he chews it makes me so mad because he doesn't chew it right to me and i can't look at him because i would just get mad or i would get nervous
like now it's like i feel like i get nervous after a while if the tapping or whatever that is annoying me insists. i get nervous like as if i was to see a spider (i'm really scared of spiders by the way..)
and i noticed before little things like that annoyed me but it never got to the point where i would have to look away because it made me nervous..

One thing that you are doing that is good is by trying to solve the problem without bothering or yelling at the people that are making you feel this way. Then again one thing you could try is to ask them to please stop and if they dont just explain the way you are feeling when they do that and well hopefully they will stop. But if they just forget that you asked them to stop and keep doing it then maybe you should try to think totally about something else that sometimes works for me. But if this keeps happening to you then you should just go to a local counselor. And you shouldnt worry about going to a counselor because it doesnt matter that you want help. You have already done the main thing by admitting that yoiu have a problem with your surroundings. Good Luck! Hope I have helped! Kate♥ [ ebkatie's advice column | Ask ebkatie A Question ]

For example little things irk me & I start to get chills about it or it makes me angry.Sometimes when people shake their legs or even tap constantly like how it makes you feel. It could be like a small bit of OCD(obsessive compulsive disorder)i dont know too much about it but i've heard things about it. It is how like little things make people nervous and stuff like that. Anyways it may just be helpful to kindly ask them to stop tapping or whatever. They shouldn't really have that much of a problem with it though.
good luck...hope i helped.
