ive been friends with my friends for quite a while and they never really cared how i dress and none of them say anything but i know they talk about it behind my back and sometimes when we all hang out my best friend tells me shes not trying to be mean but " kind of dress like us cause i dont want the other kids to not like us" and i dress in dark clothes alot but not like gothic but when i am with them all i feel kind of out of place because they all wear like abercrombie and i wear like band shirts and stuff. should i dress more like them? i like the clothes they wear and i wear it sometimes cause i think its cute but i jsut never really shop there. what should i do?

you should never have to feel like you cant be yourself and if they are your friends thye should never ask you to be anyone but yourslef... its honestly rude for them to say anything... so what you dress different then they do, they should be friends with you for who you are not by how you dress
