Lincoln Douglas Debate
Has anyone ever participated in an LD debate? I'm supposed to debate this Friday and I've never debated in an LD. The only debate I've been in is a CX debate. I know they aren't the same but I was just wondering if anyone had any pointers on how to win? Personal experiences would be great!

ok so i kno its friday night and ur already at your tournament im in debate this is my first year and ive done cx ld and congress basically cx is very stressful and ld is more laid back and formal like you will realize after today. you have more time between rounds which is nice b/c ur less stressed out. I forget what the new topic is but i know the old one was about eminant domain and private enterprise basically dont drop things that will hurt you answer questions as well as possible and persuade the judge as much as you can dont be an ass b/c thats kinda how you lose its a hard change from cx to ld but you figure out which you like better after you try ld i hope your tourh went well!
