my 8th grade graduation is coming up soon, and i'm really worried about it. I'm really athletic and tomboy-ish. (I DON'T wear boys clothes or anything, but i don't wear dresses or skirts.)
at graduation, we're supposed to be really formal and stuff. it's like prom, but maybe not so glamourous, you know?
my question is that i need help with clothes, hair, etc. i plan to wear a dress (and surprise everyone. where could i get a really pretty dress for a decent price? and hair/make-up tips would be good, too. (i don't know anything about make-up at all, HELP!)

For your hair wear loose curls. Make-up do a sheer pink lip gloss, with a light color blush, do a light color on the eyes. Get magazines like J-14 and Seventeen for how to do your make-up.

As for shoes, I personally love the store Traffic. For comfortable but pretty shoes, look for flats (preferably decorated. I have some with snakes on them) with the grecian style laces. You can tie them around your ankles and/or legs in almost infinite ways.
Dillards has good dresses, I bought my prom dress there. Macys has a lot of nice dresses on sale if you go to the website. Also, many lingerie stores also sell dresses. [ VixenDark's advice column | Ask VixenDark A Question ]

clothes- first off if you really don't wanna wear a dress, you should try pinstripped pants. they go with anything and theyre really cute. anyways if you still wanna wear a dress you should go to dillards. they have really cuttte ones in there and the prices arent too bad. i dont know how tall you are or tan but you should get one thats about knee length, thats how most of them are anyways and thats not too dressy for this occasion.
hair- if you normally wear your hair up, you should put it down and straighten it. or if you would like to get a hair cut, try getting side bangs or layers to really make it different. idk how long your hair is so thats kinda hard to say, you could always get extensions or add a little color. just depends what you wanna do. if you normally wear it down, you should put it up. personally thats what i would do. try curling your hair then put it up, like put it in a high pony tail and pin it up and make the curls be on top. im probably not explaining this well so here's a website [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) there's plenty of hair things on the side of that website.
makeup- wear eyeliner, i dont know if you know how to apply this or not..its really simple..if you dont know how just have your mom or someone do it. put it on really dark, not too dark but dar enough to tell you're wearing it obviously. then mascara, do it pretty thick. you don't have to..it just looks better. then on the eyeshadow..pick a color that goes with your dress, but make sure its not the same color cus then it kinda clashes. for example if you get a red dress, dont get red eyeshadow..get a pink or mix white n red, make sure its either lighter or darker than the color you're wearing. if your skin is pale dont wear lipstick, put on something colorless yet glossy.
i have so much more i could say but i think i gave you an idea. if you need anything else just drop it in my inbox!
