good stories

Question Posted Sunday March 26 2006, 10:23 am

Hey advicenators.

I was just wondering if anyone here has a good/funny story on something that happened in your childhood.
Like maybe, when trying to impress someone, or some interesting tradition you had as a child, or something your parents always did...or you know, something along those lines.
Anything interesting from your childhood basically..

Thank youu :)

Well,

This one time my friend and I were at this concert and her dad had to come pick us up. Well we go to get in the car and the backseat has a lot of junk on it. So I just climb over it and get in and she goes to move all the stuff. Well then she has one foot in the car and one foot on the curb and her dad pulls away. So she is hopping along with the car and yelling at her dad to stop, and I couldnt help but start laughing at the whole thing because it was just so ridiculous. Then she gets in the car and her dad starts yelling at her for fooling around, and she gets all upset and starts crying and he says "I'm sorry for yelling at you I was just scared" and she goes "YOU were scared! You didn't almost get run over by the car!" We can all laugh about it now though

Once when my famliy was on vacation the televison in our hotel room had several channels in other languages. So my sister and I turned on what we thought was the Japanese channel and turned the volume down low and made up what we thought they were saying. Well my mom came in the room so we got really quiet and my sister goes "Kate! This channel is in English!" so the whole time we thought they were speaking japanese and making up what they were saying and they were really speaking english!

Well, this isn't that heart-warming, but it is the story of my first psychic experience. When I was seven years old, my family and I were driving in the countryside, now remember this took place in the late 1940's. My father was lost, and the car was starting to have problems. All of a sudden, I had these intense feelings of horror. I saw my father dead and on fire. I started to cry, and told my father to stop the car, but he wanted to find a place to get the car checed out. I was crying so hard, that my mother told my father to let her out of the car with my two older sisters and I. She said that when he got the car fixed, he could come back and pick us up. She had no idea of how long any repairs would take. But it was the 40's so not many people knew much about cars. Anyways, we sat by the road for hours. I had calmed down and was playing with my sisters. I would still get feelings of pain and sadness, sometimes. It was starting to get dark and my father had still not come back. My mother was starting to worry, and the next time a car came by she flagged it over. There was an elderly couple driving it. They had just been to Sunday dinner with their adult children, Thed couple live about a mile from where we were, so they took us to their house, so that we could call my Aunt Ruth, who had a truck, to come get us. My mother figured that my father, who was an alchoholic, had found a place to drink, and would return to our house by morning. Wgen my Aunt Ruth arrived at the old couple's house I was asleep, but woke up in the car, and started to cry, that Father was dead. Just then we came around the corner and saw the wreckage of our old car. A few feet away was my dead father, still on fire, just like I had invisioned. He had been driving for an hour after he left us. To the best pof our knowlege, he had found a pub, and gone in for a drink. Then, he drove some more. The car's engine caught fire. He was just drunk enough not to know what to do. He swereved off the road. The gas tank exploded. Flinging him eight feet. Where we found him an hour later.

This is a story that is also in my profile about me going on a blind date.

One time I went on a blind date. And the girl who was suppose to be my date had a farting problem. She said shrimp didn't go good with her stomach. Almost everyone that had tables near us could smell it. It was so embarrasing because everyone thought it was me assuming that a girl wouldn't be farting the way she was. That was the last time I ever let my friends try to hook me up with someone.

Well I have a few. By the way I'm 17 and female just in case you were wondering.

1. One night when I was about 8 me and 3 of my friends decided to have some fun on our friend Ryan's skateboards. He had like six of them so he let us borrow two for the night. Well our street wasn't a very busy one but it had a steep hill starting at the top where I lived. We decided to race each other at "Belly Racing" as we called it. Belly Racing just meant that you would be on your stomachs on the skateboards and race each other down the street to the stop sign at the bottom. Well me and Steven were racing and I barely made it there to the stop sign before he did but he couldn't figure out how to get the thing to stop without either catching his shoes on fire or scraping up his hands so he hit the curb on the opposite side of the road and few into someone yard with a hard thump. We found out two days later that Steven had suffered a mild concussion from his landing. After that we decided not to "Belly Race" again.
