For my sister... My sister is in 11th grade and she needs answers to some of these questions. She's taking physics and I never did so I was no help to her. If you guys know how to do these could you please reply? Thanks!
1. If you average 62mi/hr how long will it take you to make a trip that is 85 miles long?
Equation is speed = distance divided by time.
2.You get pushed in the hall and drop your books. It falls for .35 seconds. How high did you drop it from?
Equation?
3. You skydive and the chute doesn't open. If you jumped from 1600 meters how long to you have to hit something?
Equation?
Thanks, it would help so much!!!!

1. Take 85/62 and you'll have the amount of hours it takes to get there. (1.3709677 - not sure how many digits you want it rounded to there)
2. The equation for this is height equals one-half acceleration due to gravity multiplied by time squared plus the velocity at the point of release multiplied by time. (Sorry, can't write out the formula using standard qwerty keyboard.) The acceleration due to gravity is 9.806 metres per second squared. Anyways, the answer is .6066175 meters.
3. Same equation as above. Height is 1600 meters, acceleration due to gravity is 9.806, time is the unknown variable. The answer is 18.06462891 seconds.
Hope this helps!
