broken key
ok, i have a laptop and recently one of my keys came out, the | and \ key if that helps, is there a way i can put it back in without sending it out for repair? and if i send it out for repair, how long does it take and do they turn on the computer? becusae i really dont want a strange person going through my files...thanks ♥

This happened to me before. Well actually my cat walked on the keys...=] and the G key popped off. I panicked, but my sister simply popped it back in. Try this! If it doesn't work, ask a friend with a laptop. Maybe he/she will know.

keys on a keyboard can come off so you will be able to clean it. try to push the key back in. why not do it yourself if youre just gonna do the same thing the repair person would, and you would have to pay him!

i no this may sound cheesy but my laptop is my life so i no wat you mean that you don't want to send it out. Well, have you tried super glue? it fixes almost anything. just put a little on the key, and voila!

Recently a key off my keyboard came off so my mom called Dell. . .the brand of our computer and they sent us a new keyboard and instruction book how to put it on and it was really easy. i doubt you will have to send it out for repair. you could also try going to a local computer shop or maybe even a place like best buy or comp usa. well i hope i helped a little bit but if you have anymore questions feel free to ask!
