yes mam i am a 31 year old male(straight) who loves heavy meatal and country, most of my friends like the same but when i have a get together and wish for something a little uplifting i play one of the greatest bands of all time, chicago, of course i am immediately cricified and most of the comments are a referance to sexual prefeance. is there any way to get my hardcore music friends to enjoy the melodic extravaganza that is chicago. please help!---cavdoc---

well personally i love chicago hun and i dont think there is anything wrong with loving them. if i had a party i for surely would blare chicago. i feel that you should blast it and hold your head high and feel proud to be a chicago fan. i also that music is a reflection of who you are and what you feel. there are many chicago tunes that are rich in feeling and represent feelings of the 80's and of now. hold tight to what you love and your friends need to accept you for you. dont change. its not worth it!!!!!!!!chicago is who you are and noone should change that.im sure there are many closet chicago fans that would love to reveal who they are.i remember when i finally revealed my love for chicago. it was such a liberating experience.the song i am a man and will fight for your honor is a great song.it reminds me of someone i really care about. and i only hope that he appreciates the sound of chicago. as for your friends maybe explaining to them why chicago is so important to you may shed some light on them to understand. its really hard for a hardcore chicago fan to understand why noone would love chicago. in your honor tommorow i will blast chicago from my car on the way to the store and i will put on my 80's ray-bans and shout the lyrics in your honor.chicago has been around longer then mst of your friends and thats why it is important not to give up on peter cetera and his band. they make ya laugh make ya cry. i mean i cant tell you how many times i have wanted to make love to the rhythem of chicago on a velvet rug drinking irish whiskey. anyhow good luck and keep me posted
