Thief answered Sunday February 19 2006, 11:42 pm: i know what you mean, i sometimes make up rymes or song just by loking out in space, or looking at the beauty of the sky. Sometimes i just go into deep thought and sing my thoughts outside. What's weird is that after drinking some coffee, it all comes into mind. try that and just gaze at the sky or the mountains or people. It's all about observing. Hope it helps [ Thief's advice column | Ask Thief A Question ]
xlngwoodsbellax answered Sunday February 19 2006, 4:02 pm: Like you, i LOVE writing songs and music. It's not easy.. and most of the time my lyrics sound like something that came out of an martians mouth, but I don't give up.
You see, sometimes things just come to you. I'd suggest trying to write songs when you have a lot of emotions. For example, if you're very upset, crying perhaps. Or maybe you just had a fight with your mom or someone died... its the time when your feelings are at full blast. If you're having a problem rhyming, you could always use a thesaurus. =)
DoesHeCare answered Saturday February 18 2006, 1:37 pm: Well, maybe it's not the song just the words you use in them. Not to be offensive. But I write songs and poems too and sometimes I don't like my own poems because I can't think of the correct words. So I bought a thesasaurus and a rhyming dictionary and that solved my problem. So maybe you should buy one or try to find a virtual one online.
fish34 answered Saturday February 18 2006, 12:25 pm: There is only one answer! Practice practice practice! All your first songs will be pretty lame, but they will get better and better. As you practice writing songs you will get better at expressing your inner feelings as well. Good luck!! ^_^ [ fish34's advice column | Ask fish34 A Question ]
sexybandgeek answered Saturday February 18 2006, 12:24 pm: Sometimes things will pop into your head that would make good songs, and it may be while you are doing something and dont have anywhere to write it down. That happens to me ALL THE TIME (i want to be something like a singer/songrwriter/author) Just keep a pencil and a piece of paper handy, and when something comes to you Write It Down!
If you cant think of anything, then dont think! write whatever you want, and it could unravel into a song!
Try putting your songs to music.... even if they seem stupid they might sound so much better with music!
hope i helped! [ sexybandgeek's advice column | Ask sexybandgeek A Question ]
