Computer & mp3 player

My laptop doesn't "see" that my mp3 player is plugged in. I have the plug in the USB port bu it still doens't show up of let me take music from music match or anywhere and put it on my player. how can I change this? I really want to be able to use it! thanks!

ok your problem can be in three places so ill give you a nice step by step.

1. check to make sure your usb port is working, plug, plug in something that you know works.

2. check to make sure the plug on the mp3 player is working, plug it into another computer (preferably a desktop) and see if it is recognized.

3. if both of those work then your problem is with the drivers. if you do not have the cd that came with the mp3 player then open up google.com and search for the model of the mp3 player and the word drivers. download the drivers (they should come with instructions) and that should do it.
