pushover

Question Posted Thursday February 2 2006, 9:00 pm

OK so theres this guy and I've been friends with him for like, 9 years. He is a really good friend, and i'll admit at times i think maybe I have a crush on him. But the problem is that sometimes he can be really mean and unfair to me. I will get all mad in my head, but then when i talk to him or see him again, everything just goes away, and im nice to him. So, am i a pushover? It seems like i am. I mean i really value our friendship and when i try to stick up for myself, he gets mad at me. Hes super stubborn, so it takes A LOT to get him to forgive you. idk, what do you all think? am i being a pushover? what should i do?

Seriously do not let him be mean/unfair to you. You HAVE to learn how to stand up for yourself, especially against men (it's an essential life lesson!). You can still be friends, but don't let any one try and control you or boss you around, that's all I can say.
