Question Posted Wednesday February 1 2006, 8:34 pm
Hey, my name is Chelsey and i'm 13 years old. I have a boyfriend named Mike, we have been going out for 3 months to come. I mean i really like him and everything. But i swer he just doesn't really care. When i tell him something important about my feelings, he just says, "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." and then he just dives into another toppic. We got into a fight about this not that long ago for the first time. Because it was bothering me a lot, so i let him know. We got into this huge fight. He said he cares but he said he just doesn't know how to show it. And i mean i understand, but is he just saying that to keep me? Or maybe he does really care and he is telling the truth and he really doesn't know what to say. But i want to hear an opinion from another person other than my friends because they don't want me and him to break up and have me be heart broken. So please help! I will aprreiciate it soooooo much!
Thank you so much,
Chelsey<33

Teza answered Wednesday February 1 2006, 11:11 pm: He's only a kid and he doesn't know how to show his feelings like a lot of other guys and that's normal. Another thing is that some guys think it's just having a girlfriend and that's it. As much as they try to understand a girl's feelings, they can't always. When you do tell him your feelings he might not know how to respond to that so he says sorry. If he didn't care at all he wouldn't be going out with you at all. He likes you but doesn't know the exact words to say. It's only been 3 months so give it a little more time to see how the relationship goes. If you aren't happy, break it off. He's not worth your time then so do what makes you happy. [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
