"The only people who will be getting into heaven are the ones who CHOSE to accept Jesus as their lord and savior."
Ah, but does one really CHOOSE a belief? Can you, looking at a red firetruck, CHOOSE to believe that the firetruck is in fact blue? I, personally, don't think beliefs can be chosen in such a fashion. If I disbelieve in God, it isn't because I "chose" to do so, but because the facts are simply not convincing for me, just as I do not choose to believe a firetruck is red...I simply look at the evidence and know it.
Also, if God thinks that our free will, the ability to freely choose to love God, is so valuable, why would he ultimately deny this ability in heaven? (He would have to deny it, for heaven can't contain evil or sin...and having the choice of doubt would be sinful.)
So you see, your response doesn't really answer my criticism. If the ability to CHOOSE to love or believe in Christ is so important, why would the concept of Heaven deny this choice? It doesn't make sense.

As a christian, I believe that the world was originally perfect, because in Genesis God calls it good. And for something to be good in His eyes, it must be perfect. Therefore, sin, evil, death, none of it existed originally. So the world did exist for a time without evil.It was Paradise. Then when Adam and Eve CHOSE to eat from the tree that God told them not to, all that stuff entered the world. I think a being that could speak the universe into existance has some plan for preserving free will, it will just involve a whole different perspective on choices. Ever think that maybe you might just have to choose between what's good? How nice would that be. As for the fire truck thing, you can believe it's blue, but you're a fool if you do. And doubt is not a sin, worry is a sin. Everyone has doubts about something. So, yes you do indeed choose what to believe and what to not belive. If you want to believe that there is no God, go for it. If you want to take off the blinders that today's society of humanism has placed on you, good for you. Go out and investigate. After all, we have all eternity to reflect on the choices we make in this life.
As for the evidence, if you would take a serious look at the world around you, the complexity of the world, you would realize that it's not all just an accident. The actual odds if the world just happening by accident are 1 to 10 followed by 40,000 zeroes. I wouldn't bet on those odds would you? Consider the giraffe. When it bends down to drink, all the blood that is in its neck rushes down to its head because of gravity. Thankfully, it has a sponge like apparatus that slowly moves the blood over the brain so as not to give the griaffe a stroke. Now, if evolution is true, then the giraffe somehow evolved from some other giraffe like creature that somehow survived long enough to mutate this structure. But how could this have happened? All the giraffes before the one with the sponge would have died from strokes. It's something to think about.
I did enjoy your response and am very impressed that you were able to articulate a good arguement without resorting to name calling or blatent close minded-ness. If you feel like, we can continue this little debate, or if you wish, not.
