hey umm i have a laptop and one of the key covers on it fell out...does anyone know how i can fix it? the key still works though...thanks so much x0 nellie
TheOldOne answered Friday January 27 2006, 10:12 am: I assume that you've tried to snap the key cover back on, and it wouldn't go. If so, take a close look at the inside of the key cover. See if you can spot where the plastic is broken or bent. If it's only bent, you might be able to bend it back into shape with a penknife or small screwdriver. But that would only be a temporary fix at best, and the cover would almost certainly fall off again before long.
You can buy a replacement key cover for that key. Go to the store where you bought the laptop (and if it's still under warranty, they should fix it for free), and see if they have any in stock. If not, check around at other computer stores that carry that brand of laptop; you should be able to find it fairly easily.
