nose piercings ..
okay .. i dont really know where this would go .. but here's the background information .. january 19th was my dad's birthday. he would be 47 but he passed away when he was only 43. i was feeling very very down that day and was considering cutting .. but my friend was talkin about how when she's upset she pierces her ears instead of cutting. and i couldnt do my ear so i did my nose.
its how i took out my pain and grief i suppose.
okayy .. im not posting this so i can get the who "that was soo dumb" speeches. i see those all the time. i just want to know what's the important things to do with a newly pierced nose.
what i pierced it with is bigger than the earring thats in now .. will the skin grow back everywhere except for where the ring is? and its itchy .. but not red .. is that normal?
what would you suggest to do to keep it from gettin infected? thanks soo much in advance ..

the itching means its healing. you just need to keep it clean, use alcohol or something. im really bad with cleaning my piercings..i almost never used alcohol or anything on my nose, belly button, or ears. i just made sure to wash them when i showerd, and they never gave me problems. the skin around hers just means its a little infected. she definately needs a cleaner for it, like alcohol or sea salt. just get a little bit of water in like a shot glass size and put probably about a teaspoon of sea salt in it and let a cotton ball soak it. then she should hold the cotton ball on her nose for about a minute. its really really good for it and will help it to heal fast, so you could even do it too. anything simpler would just be to use alcohol. hope you dont get infected hehe :)

i did the same thing, and i know you dont want to hear this but you know you shouldnt do things like that, and ive learned, trust me. stop while you can.
anywho, itchy means its healing, and the skin will grow back in to fit around the ring. clean it with alcohol a lot. and move it around/take it out for a second, litterally, and sitck it back in quick. dont know why but trust me with that. when i first did my nose 2 years ago i did and it never closed, and i never had problems with it.
--i think it will be fine,i dont really understand what you mean by that, she might get a little "bump", if youget a little "bump" and you pick at it and it bleeds and pus comes out, that means is infected but if you keep cleaning it that will go away and it will be fine. but for the both of you, but please, if it starts to hurt take it out.

It's pretty normal to be itchy and the skin should grow back. Just make sure to keep the earring in for at least 8 weeks before you take it out. I don't know how to keep it from not getting infected but I hope I helped with the rest!
