Yay altos!!

If your songs are high (I highly doubt they really are...), then you need to sip in through a straw. I'll explain. Take a straw, cut it in half, and breathe with it in your mouth. Your chest and shoulders shouldn't move, your waist and back should expand. This means you are breathing correctly. Next, you need to raise the soft pallet. Put your fingers in your ears and try to touch your wrist to your nose. Do you feel that skin that's in the way? Put your fingerson your face right in front of that; one in front of each ear and drop your jaw. Do you feel a cave or hole? If you do, you have successfully raised the soft pallet. This + good breathing = your head voice. See if these things help. Also, please read the other questions related to music on my column. I have answered many questions slightly different from yours in grater detail. Good luck!
