Question Posted Thursday January 19 2006, 4:03 pm

okay i wear what i like...its from hollister and abercrombie and american eagle and stores like that, but my friend thinks i only wear that because everyone else does and stupid people think that you have to wear that to be "accepted." I don't care that i'm not up to date or whatever with all the pearls and cropped sweaters and uggs and big bulky bracelets/necklaces etc...but now i'm finding out that people are talking about me behind my back saying that i should go shopping with somebody who knows what they are doing and that i need to find better styles and wear different things that what i do and that i have to stop wearing these things every week...but like...i don't have the money to buy something, wear it once a month and then wear something out. THATS GAY IN MY OPINION. i don't want to change my appearance just to fit in..but i DONT want people talking about me behind my back. i told the girl that told me some of this stuff that middle school isn't a fashion show...but here at LMS a lot of people make it out to be like that. I HATE IT!! how do i deal with this?!?!

thanks!!

If you want to spice up your fashion a little bit, don't feel restricted to brand name stores. Kohl's, and some department stores, H&M, forever21, urban outfitters, dealias have REALLY cute stuff.. if you look for it. And it's fairly inexpensive too. But, hell, if you don't want to change your style, than don't do it. Don't show any signs of lack of confidence on your face. Confidence is the key. It's not what you wear. It's how you display it.

Be outgoing with colors, mix up textures you normally wouldn't and people will respect you for your fashion sense.

Most of all, like what you wear. Don't change for anyone else. We've got to have SOME unique people in this world.
