I think if you use liquid eyeline it will stay on better and look like a much cleaner finish. The only thing is..liquid eyeliner is tougher to put on than the pencil eyeliner.
There really is no special trick on how to do it. It takes practice and you'll mess up but after awhile it will be like nuthing && you`ll get the hang of it.
I go to MAC sometimes to get my makeup done&to get some tips. And they told me when you put it on your top lid;;Just slide it across in one fast movement. DONT stop and redo. It`ll look sloppy. People make it a bigger deal than it really is.
But make sure you get the liner as close to your eyelashes as you can. Otherwise it`ll look REALLiE unatural & sloppy.

amandax33 answered Tuesday January 17 2006, 10:44 pm: To put it on your top eyelid, you need to get a good long lasting eyeliner. They sell them almost anywhere, The color stay ones. If you want a thin line use the side/tip of it. Then if you want it thick use it as you would a pencile. Get close to where your eyelashes are and glide a line across it.. You may want to get a eyeliner smudger so you can even it out and smear it in alittle so it dosent look so dark and uneven.

marsbars answered Tuesday January 17 2006, 10:36 pm: Ok here's how I do it, I hope this makes sence. To put in on the top, pull the outside corner of you eye(the one farthest from your nose) pull horazontally away from your nose. Your eye lid shoulb b close and like I don't know longer or like streched out. Now hold it in this position and put the eye liner on as close to your eye lashes as possible. Put your lid back to its regular position and c how it looks. Make it darker or lighter depending on how u think it looks. Hope this helps just leave one in my inbox if you need more help. much luv xoxoxo [ marsbars's advice column | Ask marsbars A Question ]
