Question Posted Sunday January 15 2006, 10:21 pm

17/f My boyfriend of 4 months doesn't ask me to hang out as much as he used to. We used to see eachother 3 times a week, and now its only once or twice, and I feel like most of the time I'm the one asking him to hang out. I feel like he's afraid that his friends will think he is pussy-whipped. However he still says really sweet things to me all the time, like how much he misses and loves me (but he never says them in person, only over text or AIM). Is he getting bored with me or what? I'm so confused..

Additional info, added Monday January 16 2006, 5:46 pm:
he does say I love you in person, like when we're saying goodbye to each other. And he will also say it over the phone if we talk before going to bed. .

He might be getting bored with you, but I think that he doesn't want someone to know about you. It might possibly be his family or friends. If he's telling you those things only over text or AIM, that's probably the case.

it's not that he's getting bored with you, he just might need time to himself. i'm not trying to say that ya'll need to break up but don't hang out as much for a while. let him hang out with his friends without you and you should do the same. yeah you may miss him, but time away from each other will help increase each others feelings. and the possiblity of him not wanting his friends to think he's pussy-whipped could be another problem. it's pathetic but normal for guys now a days. just don't let that discourage you and talk to him about how you feel. he's your boyfriend after all, and you should be able to share your problems with him. ♥adina
