It all does depend on how it ended. Just casually ask him, "Hey, whats up? How have you been lately?" or if that is too much (I am shy too so I know what it is like, lol) you could write him a note or text message him asking if he is interested in going to prom w/ you. If he says no you can just shrug it off and say, "Oh, just thought it might be fun for old times sake. See ya." It would probably be a good idea to have a foundation of friendship first, because from what I have experianced that is what makes relationships work. I hope everything works out for you! If things ended well and you two still talk and are friends then I don't think it will be too difficult. But if you were the one to let him go, then it's probably not a wise idea to ask him out again. Do you guys still do things together at times or in groups? You could maybe talk to a mutual friend to see if you could find out what his plans are for that dance and possibly help you "nudge" him into asking you out. Mutual friends are a very good person to talk to about these things. If he still likes you and he had ended it, is what was bothering him about the relationship resolved? If not, it's pretty safe to say you should try figuring that out before trying to go out with him again. [ trlblzr4u's advice column | Ask trlblzr4u A Question ]
