I recently broke my arm, however, I'm getting very close to when my cast comes of. When it comes off my arm will be very weak and I will have very little muscle. Therefore, I will have to go to physical therapy. Can anyone tell me what it's like? What kind of excerises will I be doing? Also will carrying my school books strain my arm? Thanks.
Additional info, added Wednesday January 11 2006, 5:09 pm: Now I'm worried about carrying my books. I will have no muscle so it will be very hard. Only one of my friends has offered to help me when my cast comes off. What should I do?. Want to answer more questions in the Health & Fitness category? Maybe give some free advice about: Injuries? If your bone is completely healed, I don't think carrying a book or two will hurt your arm, but then again ask the Dr. A good exercise to start with is to simply pretend like you are writing your ABCs in the air. DancinCutie08 answered Wednesday January 11 2006, 4:24 pm: although they say its weak it prob wont be as week as you might think. for the first day or to it might be kinda sore but that pain will quickly go away. at therapy they will make you do exercises like sqeezing balls and stuff. just simple things that you would normally do and prob not even notice [ DancinCutie08's advice column | Ask DancinCutie08 A Question ]
