phsyical therapy I recently broke my arm, however, I'm getting very close to when my cast comes of. When it comes off my arm will be very weak and I will have very little muscle. Therefore, I will have to go to physical therapy. Can anyone tell me what it's like? What kind of excerises will I be doing? Also will carrying my school books strain my arm? Thanks.

You should discuss physical therapy with your Dr, it will depend on several things if it is needed or not. If your bone is completely healed, I don't think carrying a book or two will hurt your arm, but then again ask the Dr. A good exercise to start with is to simply pretend like you are writing your ABCs in the air. ]
Just ask your freinds to help you and i am sure they will help. My friend broke her are and we all are trying our hardest to help her until she is comepletely healed. Dont worry it isnt your fauly it broke but if your friends are true friends then they will help. ]
ive done physical therapy many many times. first of all you should not carry your books it will deffinately hurt your arm. as for what they will do they will mostly just try to make your arm stronger, they might have you bending it with a small weight in your hand or just extending it out and back. most likely it wont hurt you might feel a little tense when you get out but nothing a little ice wont help.
hope all goes well! ]
although they say its weak it prob wont be as week as you might think. for the first day or to it might be kinda sore but that pain will quickly go away. at therapy they will make you do exercises like sqeezing balls and stuff. just simple things that you would normally do and prob not even notice ]
