Question Posted Wednesday January 4 2006, 11:12 pm
I have a guy friend that I've known my entire life (he's my neigbor) and I've always had this want to maybe be more than friends.
For a while I thought I had a crush on him...but I told him and he said we have known each other too long, so I figured that maybe I didn't really have a crush on him. Soon after he got a girlfriend.
That was one year ago...they're broken up now. He asked me just as a random question if I would date him and told him I probably would...but his response was "I'm flattered, and I would probably date you too if I had the chance, but it would probably be too awkward. We've known each other too long..."
Ugh, I don't know what to think anymore. My friends say they see sparks between us, and I have questioned it myself...but I don't know if he'll ever give it a chance.
Maybe we're not made for each other...but I wish he would give it a chance and see if there ARE sparks...Yet, at the same time I don't want to ruin what he have.
but sometimes, things are better left at friendship, rather than trying to take it up a notch. but, if youve got feelings for this guy then why not right?
i guess the closeness you have alreay could actualy even help, give it a shot and see what comes out of it, hes only a few steps away away :) [ Sean27's advice column | Ask Sean27 A Question ]
