Depends how recently, within the last week, wait another day or so. If you just had sex like yesterday you might have to wait a week or so. I also have heard good things about the tests 1st respons and EPT. But I would wait about a week after having sex, take the test and whether it comes out positive or negative (if positive then I wouldn't doubt you are) then wait another week and take another one. If you stress too much you will delay your period so don't put to much thought on it, but yeah, a week after having sex seems like a good amount of time then take one a week after that.
