When people make things out of papier mache, how do they make it smooth? I mean, it's strips of newspaper, right?

they put it in a mix of like glue and water and then it gets all soggy kinda and you just smooth it out with your hands.

yeahh but it's really soggy so all you have to do is spread it out where you want it to be and mold it into shape.. if that's not what you were asking for just let me know =]
